News from the project

On 16th and 17th November 2024, the researchers from HASAMé were invited by GDR Tact ( https://www.gdr.tact.uha.fr/ ) to participate to the festival of science organized by the Cité des sciences (Paris). This year, the topic for the festival was 'touch'. In this context, and during 2 days, the technologies developped within the framework of HASAMé were presented to the general public by researchers from the L2EP and engineers from Vibra-Nova.

Congratulations to Mondher Ouari who defended his paper "Vibrotactile cues with net lateral forces resulting from a travelling wave" (Mondher Ouari , Anis Kaci , Christophe Giraud-Audine , Frédéric Giraud and Betty Lemaire-Semail), during the poster session at Eurohaptics 2024 1-3 July 2024, from Rebecca Friesen (chair), Sinan Haliyo, Ilana Nisky, Femke Van Beek.

During 1-3 July 2024, the European Conference on Touch - technology and interaction - took place in Lille France (https://eurohaptics.org/ehc2024). During this event, more than 400 participants attended the talks and presentations. Interestingly, the sessions were recorded and are still available (https://webtv.univ-lille.fr/grp/716/eurohaptics-2024/).

The conference has been organized by the L2EP, but several members of the HASAMé consortium were involved in the organization commitee (Frédéric Giraud, co chair of the conference, Betty Semail member of the technical commitee, Christophe Giraud-Audine sponsor chair, Matthieu Rupin, Demo chair).

Le 11 Décembre 2023, Frédéric Giraud a animé le 'Bar des sciences' de la Faculté des Sciences et Technologies de Lille sur le thème 'Touchez pour y voir clair'. A cette occasion, un public large a pu écouter les explications autour des phénomènes d'illusions tactiles à l'origine de nos dispostifs.
